tim-geithnerIt seems the Nation’s Real Estate Market is hitting everyone. Imagine being tapped by the President of the United States of America to head the Treasury Department and be the Secretary of The Treasury.  It’s a thankless job.  It means you will take a hit in salary as chances are you could easily make much more money in the public sector.  But you take the job for the love of your country.  Now you are faced with two things.  Finding a home in the Northern Virginia or Washington DC area, and selling the current home you have in the great state of New York.

This is exactly what our current Secretary Of The Treasury is facing.  Once selected to be the new Secretary Of The Treasury he immediately came down here to start his new job and find a home.  He also placed his 5 bedroom home in New York on the market.  It has been over five months now and still no takers.  Could it be that he has over priced his home?  Could it be the current condition for which the home is in?  Chances are that neither is the case.  He is facing what we are all facing.  A bad economy and a not so great real estate market in New York.  We hear now that Secretary Of The Treasury Timothy Geithner is considering renting his home out until the economy and soft real estate market in New York gets better.  Mr. Secretary we wish you nothing but success in getting your New York home Sold! You already have more then enough on your plate already.
